MOUNT CRAWFORD — A Weyers Cave gentleman has been billed with murder in Rockingham County, authorities stated Thursday.
Richard D. Brunk, 60, is charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Workplace said the suspect reportedly shot and killed his brother, 63-year-outdated Ronald D. Brunk.
At about 7 p.m. on Wednesday, authorities responded to a small business — Mast and Brunk — at 917 Cottontail Path, wherever they identified Ronald Brunk unresponsive on the ground with a gunshot wound to the upper body, a push release claimed.
A deputy tried CPR but the sufferer was declared lifeless soon following rescue staff arrived on the scene.
An investigation unveiled that Ronald Brunk experienced a short while ago been involved in a loved ones dispute with Richard Brunk, according to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Place of work.
Richard Brunk was located in Augusta County at his Weyers Cave house and was taken into custody with no incident. He is staying held without bond at the Rockingham Harrisonburg Regional Jail.
